Virtually every hotel on the Las Vegas Strip is a to minute cab ride from McCarran International Airport. The Palazzo and its sister hotel, the Venetian have extremely large standard rooms, each containing a bedroom and a sunken living room with L-shaped sofas that open up to full-size beds.
Art Deco-inspired touches in lamps, dressers, and the crushed-velvet couches add to the luxurious and tasteful ambience.
The comfy king- and queen-size pillow-top beds are dressed in Egyptian cotton sheets and topped with wool throws. Rooms also feature three flat-screen TVs: a inch in the living room, a inch in the bedroom, and a inch in the bathroom.
Each offers about 40 channels, but no HBO, and a wide selection of films on demand. The bathrooms -- which, at square feet, are larger than some New York City hotel rooms -- come with showers, separate deep soaking tubs and twin sink basins, plenty of soft towels, and quality bath products.
If all this luxury doesn't cut it, or you need some extra space, guests can book a square-foot Fortuna Suite or 1,square-foot Siena Suite, both with Italian marble foyers.
The Palazzo and Venetian have 10 pools between them, with the separate pool decks connected via a pedestrian walkway.
Select pools are kept open during the fall and winter months. The elegant pools are laid-back and have ample loungers, plus cabanas for rent.
Poolside drink and food service is available. Adults may want to head over to the TAO Beach day club, which is for a and-over crowd and allows topless sunbathing on select days.
The world-famous Canyon Ranch Spa offers more than the usual range of spa services. A pricey day pass buys access to "Aquavana," which includes the Herbal Laconium a warm, ceramic-tiled room with individual thrones and color-changing ceiling , the Hydro Spa a fancy name for a hot tub , a Finnish sauna, the Igloo the opposite of a sauna , Experiential Rains showers with new-agey names like "Cool Fog," "Tropical Rain," and "Caribbean Storm" , and other highfalutin features.
One warning: the spa, especially the facilities for women, can get crowded. Guests may upgrade to concierge-level rooms, which buys them access to an exclusive 23rd-floor lounge with free amenities like a continental breakfast, snacks, and early-evening cocktails.
The cost to upgrade depends on the availability of rooms, which dictates the nightly rate. The casino at the Palazzo is somewhat smaller and more intimate than most of the mega-property casinos, and the staff is more attentive.
It offers different table games and countless slot machines, but no poker room. For that, you have to go next door to the Venetian.
Medium-rollers take note, the Palazzo does not provide comps to gamblers who are not shelling out the big bucks. That means no entertainment discounts or free rooms, food, and beverages.

Arlington Heights, Illinois 26 contributions 46 helpful votes. My New Vegas Favorite - Try not to get Overwhelmed. I've stayed in many Vegas properties over the years, and my recent stay at the Venetian was particularly enjoyable.
I've stayed at the Venetian in the past, but sometimes felt a little swallowed up due to the size of the place. This time around, I discovered that settling in on the amenities my wife and I enjoy makes this place much more manageable and enjoyable.
Among other nice things - while I am not a big player, I was comped for a nice suite for 4 nights - I'm thinking Covid is forcing the Venetian to do what they can to get their rooms filled.
The place was pretty spotless, and they had armies of cleaning crews patrolling the public areas. The gaming tables and bars were appropriately socially distanced.
They had cleaning crews in the elevator banks wiping down buttons and ensuring no more than 4 passengers per elevators. Everyone was behaving and wearing masks.
Parking was free - and since we had off strip activities planned, it was well worth having a car. Table games are "different" in Covid times - no touching cards.
Which is okay when playing blackjack - but for face up pai gow you just sort of sit there and see if you win or lose.
Not as engaging as I'd prefer. Plenty of slot and video poker choices, however, and cleaners were around to wipe up frequently.
We wound up eating at the Grand Luxe 3 times - not because there weren't other choices! But, there are something like items on that menu, and it's the 24 hour "coffee shop" that's a step above without being stupid expensive.
We did splurge for one premium meal at Emeril's DelMonico Steakhouse, which was superb and pleasant. Again, tables were spaced nicely, and service at both venues was impeccable.
I enjoyed the round bar and hit the Canal shops for a happy hour beverage also. Check in was easy, check out was fine, security was polite and efficient, and I really felt no need to wander around the strip.
If this is your first or second time in Vegas, the one drawback of the Venetian is that it is a major effort to get from your room to the Strip.
But since we had a car, we would just use valet I'd suggest the mall valet, much less chaotic or self park and life was easy. Day trips to the Grand Canyon, "Locals" casinos and the Grand Canyon West rim got us out of the casino.
All in all, maybe the best value to quality resort experience I can remember. Room Tip: Higher floors are better, but the suites are all pretty nice.

Italian French German Chinese Sim. Japanese Chinese Trad. Russian There's an experience here for everyone. In the winter, the pool is transformed into a massive ice rink, where you can roast marshmallows over an open fire and order adult hot chocolate also kid-friendly.
In the summer, the bars in one fun, hot, sweaty dance party and those who book cabanas or special seating can get bottle service and a great view of the stage.
Set against the backdrop of the gleaming CityCenter complex, the Aria pool deck offers one of the most spacious and serene places on The Strip.
Each of the three tear-drop-shaped pools is surrounded by palm trees and shrubbery, offering much-needed shade in this stark desertscape.
The spa at Aria is also just off the pool deck if you want deeper relaxation. Partiers should seek out Liquid, an adults-only pool with all the usual Vegas party features—great DJs, bottle service, beautiful servers, and eager patrons.
If you're among the lucky folks to book one of the Sky Suites, you'll get your own outdoor deck called the Sky Pool. It has a private entrance, complimentary refreshments like chilled towels and smoothie shots, and a fraction of the main pool crowds.
Aria is a great option for relaxation and chill vibes, but it also offers the typical Vegas pool scene if you want a day of drinking.
Much like the rest of the Park MGM Hotel —which is a boutique-inspired concept in what was formerly the Monte Carlo Las Vegas Resort and Casino—the pool scene is intimate and lowkey, with greater emphasis on sophisticated sunning than debaucherous partying.
Three different pools each strike a different vibe. The largest one, the North pool, is best for socializing, thanks to the poolside DJ, in-water lounge chairs, and eight private cabanas.
The East pool is more exclusive, with a VIP section and dedicated lounge bar, while the South pool is the place to go for a bite to eat—swimmers are served food and drink from Primrose Restaurant, a pretty French-style bistro with an emphasis on fresh ingredients.
Any standout features? The decor has a decidedly South of France tone: Palm trees, trellis thresholds, and potted plants mix with glazed tilework and subdued hues.
It's hard not to feel relaxed in such a chic setting. Even though there are three pools, the deck feels almost miniature compared to other poolscapes in Vegas.
But that just makes it easier to flit between watering holes. Show more. Accommodation details Address: Las Vegas Blvd South Las Vegas USA Other facilities You will find yourself in retail heaven as you peruse the cobbled streets of the Grand Canal shopping complex.
